As a mother of two, I’m always looking for natural ways to keep energized. When breastfeeding, you cannot always rely on caffeine because there are some concerns when pregnant or breastfeeding.

Being a mom takes lots of energy. Your baby depends on you for everything at first, so making sure you’re there for your little one is most important. Having enough energy is key. I know that it’s so hard to find that energy, and if you don’t have enough you’re day won’t go well. You might be more irritable, sad, mad, and everything in between. After having my second baby, I realized that energy is even more important because besides the new little one taking all your time and energy, you have to have energy to meet the needs of the older child. Giving your other child time to play with you, take them places, bring them to school, help them with homework, etc. Days never seem long enough to get everything done.

There are natural foods that give you more sustained energy that can keep you going throughout the day.

Foods like eggs, brown rice, oatmeal, black beans, nuts, pop corn, bananas, goji berries, frozen grapes, leafy green vegetables, sweet potatoes, and mint.
